Unleash Your Storm was not created from comfort.
It was built from survival.
I grew up in circumstances no child should have to face. My early years were shaped by loss, instability, and trauma that left deep scars long before I understood what healing even meant.
I spent much of my youth moving between children’s homes, carrying anger and pain I didn’t know how to process. I learned how to survive — but not how to live.
So I coped the only way I knew how.
Drugs.
Alcohol.
Gambling.
Anything that could quiet the noise for a while.
For years I ran from my storm instead of facing it.
But storms don’t disappear just because we ignore them.
Eventually, I had a choice:
Stay numb.
Or rebuild.
I chose to rebuild.
Today I have been
Sober from drugs for 25 years.
Sober from alcohol for 14 years.
Free from compulsive gambling for 3 years.
Not because I’m extraordinary.
But because small, consistent changes create transformation.
Unleash Your Storm exists for anyone who feels overwhelmed by their past, trapped in addiction, weighed down by grief, or convinced they are too far gone.
You’re not.
I know what it feels like to sit in darkness and believe there’s no way out.
There is.
It doesn’t happen overnight.
It doesn’t happen without discomfort.
But it happens.
This platform is my way of giving back — sharing stories of resilience, highlighting good in the world, and reminding you that adversity can shape strength rather than destroy it.
No matter how chaotic your beginning was, it does not get to decide your ending.
Storms pass.
Strength remains.
